A 10 Minute Update of Your Will in Storage

This form is to let us know of relevant things that may have changed since you wrote your Will that is stored with Sentinel. Please complete, sign, and submit this form — it will be included alongside your Will.

Your Will is very safely tucked up in the Sentinel Will Storage vault. It is one of, if not the, most important document you have ever signed. Consequently it is important that we can always communicate with you.

IMPORTANT: Because your security and privacy is critically important to us the contents of this form will be emailed directly to our team with a copy sent back to you. It will not be stored anywhere else.

COMMUNICATION

6. Do you have a copy of your Will to hand?
7. Would you like us to scan, photocopy, then email and post a bound copy of your Will to you?
This can be done at a cost of £25 per household, be that one single Will or two mirror Wills.
CHANGES AND KEY EVENTS

Such as: a change of daughter's name through marriage, or one of your named executors has moved

If you report events with significant impact, we will contact you with advice and suggestions about legal consequences, plus what can be done, and the cost.

It is not always necessary to write a new Will. Single Will rewrite: £110. Mirror Wills: £150.
Often a Codicil ('mini Will') can cover key changes at £25 per household.
(Such as 'I give my dog, Wally, and my cat Domino to my friend John, or I include my grandson, Rhain, as an equal residual beneficiary)

TAX FREE THRESHOLDS
15. Are you a single person whose assets are valued in excess of £325,000?
16. If you are two, i.e. husband and wife, or civil partners, are your assets valued in excess of £650,000?
17. Is it intended that the house that is your home will be bequeathed to a child or grandchild for them to live in following your death(s)?
If you would like to provide us with approximate figures, we shall confirm your tax position to you in writing and provide you with, hopefully encouraging, information and advice upon how you can extend, by a very large amount, the total assets you can pass to loved ones free of 40% inheritance tax.

Please sign this form, even if you have only completed one or two sections, as it shows a probate judge that you have re-considered your Will at this time, and even if it was written a while ago it is still up to date and correct.
